Founded in 1858, the city of Champlin is a Northwest Suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota, approximately 20 minutes by car from downtown.  Bordered by the Mississippi River and the Rum River, as well as the Elm Creek Park Nature Preserve, it is surrounded by the cities of Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, Osseo, Dayton, and Anoka.  Part of Hennepin county, its population is approximately 24,000 residents.

Champlin Plaza shopping center is west of Hwy 169.  You can enter by turning west onto Hayden Lake Road at the stoplight., and left (south) into the parking lot.  Or you can enter by turning west at the stoplight at 120th Ave N, then turning right (north) onto Champlin Dr (the frontage road), then left (west) into the parking lot (past the post office and the McDonald's).
